The BUSY Project works with young people Uphall and Broxburn area of West-Lothian helping young people reach their God-given potential. We offer a whole range of activities, events, groups and programmes for young people between the ages of 10 and 18 in the local community, schools and churches.

The Broxburn, Uphall and Strathbrock Young Peoples’ Project (BUSY for short) is an initiative of the BASICS Trust, a registered charity formed in 1996 in West Lothian. The project consists of a formal partnership between three Church of Scotland churches (Broxburn, Uphall South and Strathbrock), Scripture Union Scotland and the BASICS Trust and we are happy to be working with a range of partners in the local area, including schools, churches and community groups.

We have employed a full-time youth worker, Gordon Rouse, since August 2005, and have a team of over 30 local volunteers and support and offer a range of activities for young people.
