About

logo-small.gifThe BUSY Project works with young people Uphall and Broxburn areas of West-Lothian. Working with local Christian volunteers, we support young people in schools and the community, helping them reach their God-given potential.

The Broxburn, Uphall and Strathbrock Young Peoples’ Project (BUSY for short) is an initiative of the BASICS Trust, a registered charity formed in 1996 in West Lothian. The project consists of a formal partnership between three Church of Scotland churches (Broxburn, Uphall South and Strathbrock), Scripture Union Scotland and the BASICS Trust.

We have employed a full-time youth worker, Gordon Rouse, since August 2005, and have a team of over 30 local volunteers. Please take a look around our website to find out more or contact us.
Our work takes place in a veriety of settings, with a wide spectrum of young people. We’re pleased to have work taking place in many local schools, to be working with or in a number of local churches and in partnership with other local organisations.

We hope over time to develop this section of the website to include group pages for much of this wor.
