OUR VALUES

"BUSY let my try leading for the first time."
Developing Potential
We believe that every young person has potential; and every week we help young people realise their abilities, grow and develop. Over the past years this has been in activities from breakfast clubs to large events in schools, churches and the local community. The project works with young people from all walks of life, with a specific emphasis on vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
Enabling Local Volunteers
The project consists of a large number of enthusiastic and able volunteers working alongside our Youth Development Worker, keen to give their time to serving local young people. Whether it is leading at a monthly event, chatting in one of our drop-in activities, serving in the background, or supporting the project financially, volunteers are the BUSY Project.
Reflecting Christian Values
Christian values are at the core of the project. We believe that what we do matters as much as what we say, and aspire to a project rich in positive values, which lead to great experiences and opportunities for all young people and volunteers involved.
Exploring the Gospel
Our hope is that those involved with the project will make the choice to ask big questions about their world, themselves and Jesus. All of our activities are open to young people of any faith, or of none, all of whom can opt in to further discussions, reflections and opportunities should they choose.
Connecting with Church
Our activities are staffed and funded by the efforts of local Christians. We believe that connecting with the local christian community offers young people a unique opportunity to belong, and a safe place to grow and develop, and explore the relevance and credibility of Jesus.
